Reading too quickly
Many questions are missed because of speed, not lack of knowledge. A single word can reverse the meaning completely: prohibited, allowed, mandatory, except, or unless. If you skim, you may answer the exact opposite of what is correct.
Build the habit of taking a short pause before selecting an answer. Five extra seconds on a difficult question are far more valuable than trying to repair a mistake later.

Trusting everyday driving intuition
Another common mistake is answering based on what people usually do on the road. The exam does not test habits. It tests the rule. Real-world behavior and legal answers do not always match.
Whenever a question feels obvious, ask yourself whether you remember the actual rule or just a general impression. That difference explains many failed attempts.
