Why sacatelcarnet exists
Preparing for the theory test means understanding the rules and recognising recurring mistakes. We bring theory, questions and review together to support that work.
sacatelcarnet was created to solve that: a free tool with updated questions, DGT-style mock exams, and a system that tells you exactly where you fail and what you need to review. No tricks, no hidden costs.
Who is behind it
sacatelcarnet is edited by Ramon Curto, who combines experience in software development and product design with building data-driven study tools. His editorial responsibility does not imply accreditation as a DGT examiner or driving instructor.

The material is intended for the driving test in Spain. Rules and procedures are checked against official sources during review, but errors or information awaiting an update may remain. We do not claim to hold the complete official DGT examination question bank.
Our source order is clear: DGT and the BOE come first for procedures and rules; the syllabus and exam materials come next; editorial sources are used only to explain concepts. If you find an outdated detail or a debatable answer, contact us with the URL and the source that contradicts it. Changes to official sources and reader reports are reasons to review content; we do not offer a guaranteed review interval, and this site is not an administrative authority.

Data and transparency
Our question bank covers all 15 types of driving permits and licences managed by the DGT in Spain: AM, A1, A2, B, B+E, C1, C1+E, C, C+E, D1, D1+E, D, D+E, LCM, and LVA.
Questions follow the official exam format: multiple choice with 3 possible answers. For the B licence, the exam consists of 30 questions in 30 minutes with a maximum of 3 errors. For professional permits (C, D, and their variants), the exam includes a common test and a specific test.
We review content when the DGT publishes changes to the syllabus, regulations, or exam format. The last complete review of the question bank was carried out in 2026.
