Your diagnostic session: find a starting point
Begin with a mixed set of Permit B questions and notice where you hesitate. A random selection gives you a starting point for revision without restricting you to a single topic. The explanation appears straight after each answer, so use it to check whether your reasoning matches the explanation, even when you happened to choose correctly.
Once you finish, turn the mistakes into a review list. Identify which topics you want to revisit rather than immediately trying another set. You can use quick practice again after that review, or return to missed questions to work through their explanations. This opening session helps you decide where to spend your revision effort as you follow the plan.
Before you begin or try again
- Read the explanation for every missed answer and check which part of your reasoning needs another look before moving on.
- Take your time over the wording and the answer choices; give yourself room to understand the question before answering.
- Only repeat the session after reviewing your mistakes, returning to the explanations whenever a point still feels unclear to you.

What syllabus the diagnostic covers
This site's Permit B theory syllabus is split into six lessons: traffic rules, signs, road safety, risk factors, vulnerable road users and the environment. Each lists about 8 minutes of study time, a checklist and a section of typical exam traps. The diagnostic mixes questions from the whole bank, so every mistake points back to one of those lessons.
The Permit B exam described in the syllabus has 30 questions, allows a maximum of 3 errors and lasts 30 minutes. With only 10 questions today you cannot measure your score, but you can note the topic of each error. Two missed signs and one right-of-way question already tell you what days 2 and 5 are for; a speed or alcohol miss points to days 3 and 4. Keep that list of topics before moving on.
You do not need to read all six lessons today. The 10-question diagnostic takes about 3-4 minutes and each lesson about 8: it is enough to know where they are, so you open the matching one after each mistake instead of studying everything blindly.
