BDifficulty 3/5

A broken-down motorcycle obstructs the carriageway. Which light must be switched on to warn of the immobilisation if fitted, without replacing other necessary measures?

Correct answer

Hazard warning lights, if fitted.

Hazard warning lights. Under article 130, signal and seek safe removal of the obstruction; position lights are also used when appropriate. Switching on indicators alone does not always resolve signalling or safety. Motorcycles do not have the general mandatory V-16 equipment requirement in Annex XII for cars, although DGT recommends its use. If using a V-16 in Spain in 2026, it must be connected and certified.
