No: switch off both fog lights and retain the lighting otherwise required. Article 106 permits front fog lights with substantially reduced visibility, or on narrow sections with many bends, the required signs and a carriageway 6.50 metres wide or less. Width alone is insufficient. Rear fog lights are used only in especially adverse conditions. Night-time on a straight section does not permit their use without those conditions.
