Article 6 of Royal Decree 920/2017 gives N1 vehicles exemption up to two years, biennial inspection from two to six, annual inspection from six to ten, and six-monthly inspection over ten years. Age is measured from the recorded first registration or entry into service. Classification matters: this schedule must not automatically be applied to an M1 passenger van.
