Article 82.2 of the General Traffic Regulations establishes this exception to overtaking on the left for a tram travelling along the centre of a two-way road, provided there is sufficient space and the greatest care is taken. If overtaking cannot be done safely, wait; the rule does not compel overtaking. It is not a requirement applying to every tram on every road.
