No more than two months, under article 11.2 of Royal Decree 920/2017. The vehicle cannot be used normally during that period: only trips to the workshop or to regularise its situation and back to the ITV station are allowed. Defects and their classification appear in the report, and the result is recorded on the ITV card. Returning after the permitted period requires a complete inspection, without prejudice to possible penalties.
