Reduce speed. Under Annex I section 1.1.d, this signal requires vehicles approaching from the signalling arm’s side and perpendicular to it to reduce speed. It does not itself mean stop or turn towards that side. Do not confuse it with a vertically raised arm or the officer’s other signals.
