Correct answer
your vehicle has sufficient speed to carry out the manoeuvre.
Check that the vehicle has sufficient speed to overtake safely without exceeding the applicable limit, as well as clear space, visibility and a safe opportunity to return to position. Articles 84 and 85 of the General Traffic Regulations require taking other road users into account and abandoning the manoeuvre when it cannot be performed safely. Keep sufficient separation to observe and manoeuvre; do not follow dangerously closely to gain speed. Multiple lanes in your direction and a horn signal authorising you from the vehicle ahead are not requirements.
