When travelling on a road outside a built-up area on our moped, we shall use the right-hand hard shoulder when it is passable and wide enough. If it is not, we shall use only the part of the carriageway that is essential. However, if there is a road specifically intended for mopeds, they must use it.

Longitudinal strip of the road outside and alongside the carriageway. It is not an ordinary lane, and its use depends on the vehicle, road and signs.

Manoeuvre of passing another vehicle going the same direction, temporarily using the opposing lane or a free lane.
