Both inside and outside built-up areas. Use part or all of the adjacent or opposing lane without endangering others; with more than one lane each way, a complete lane change is mandatory. Outside built-up areas, also remain at least 20 km/h below the speed limit during the manoeuvre. If you cannot meet the safety conditions, do not overtake. The list does not mean every two-wheeled vehicle, and the minimum does not guarantee eliminating every risk.
