BDifficulty 2/5

On a two-way carriageway with one lane per direction, you signal a left turn and another vehicle can safely overtake on your right. With no special turning arrangement, where must you position yourself?

Correct answer

Close to the separation between directions, without entering opposing traffic.

Close to the marking separating directions, or the carriageway centre if there is none, without entering opposing traffic, under Articles 75 and 86. Overtaking on the right is only allowed in the legally specified circumstances with sufficient space and safety; it is not generally permitted.
