All D+E licence questions · DGT question bank

For a D+E licence to be issued, in addition to meeting the other requirements, which base licence must the applicant already hold valid?

Correct answer

A valid D licence.

The applicant must hold a valid D licence. Article 5 of Spain’s General Driver Regulation requires the corresponding base licence before an E combination category can be issued. Holding only B without D, or an LCM licence, does not satisfy that condition. Although D itself requires B first, B alone does not allow D+E to be issued. Meeting this prerequisite does not replace the other issue requirements.

Legal basis: art. 5 RGCond
