The driver must not leave the vehicle. The definition requires less than two minutes, not two minutes or less. It does not require keeping the engine running. Nor does it always allow every light to be switched off: at night or in reduced visibility on a carriageway or shoulder, retain the lights required by lighting rules, including position lights where applicable.
