C1+EDifficulty 3/5

For professional C1+E or C+E driving in an activity covered by the CPC rules and not exempt from them, is the driving licence alone sufficient?

Correct answer

The applicable professional requirements must also be met

No. You must also meet the applicable professional-qualification requirements under Royal Decree 284/2021 and maintain the required periodic training. Initial qualification and periodic training are distinct requirements. Initial-qualification exemptions exist, for example for group C licences issued before 11 September 2009; these do not remove the applicable periodic-training requirement. The CPC does not replace the driving licence.
