They must have one or two white dipped-beam headlights at the front. One is positioned on the longitudinal centre plane; two are symmetrical about it, under Annex X of the General Vehicle Regulations. The device is mandatory: the choice of one or two does not make it optional. A dipped-beam headlight is not fitted at the rear.
