Yes, during the first year after obtaining the first driving licence, with V-13 visible at the rear of the motorcycle. It is not limited to cars. Counting is suspended during the prescribed periods of loss of validity, confiscation or deprivation of the right to drive. Obtaining another licence category does not make someone a novice again if they already effectively held another domestic or foreign licence for at least a year.
