The control lambda sensor upstream of the catalytic converter. Its reading enables adjustment of the air-fuel mixture. Some systems also have a second lambda sensor downstream to monitor catalyst operation, so not every lambda sensor is at the inlet. It is neither a tyre-pressure sensor nor a coolant-temperature sensor.
