Correct answer
Whether breathing is normal.
Assess whether breathing is normal for no more than 10 seconds, following the emergency dispatcher’s instructions. Occasional gasps or abnormal breathing are not normal breathing. If breathing is not normal, start dispatcher-guided CPR and use an AED if available. Do not delay action by searching for a pulse, give drinks or transport the casualty yourself.
