No pad-and-disc or shoe-and-drum pair produces that torque. Electromagnetic interaction generates currents that dissipate motion energy as heat in the rotors, without frictional contact between rotor and stator. This does not mean no heat, electrical consumption or maintenance. It is auxiliary and does not completely replace service or parking brakes.
