BDifficulty 2/5

On a carriageway, the left lane is open in the opposite direction to normal and the right lane is the only remaining lane for the normal direction, adjacent to it. With no lower limit, what is the maximum speed in that right lane?

Correct answer

80 kilometres per hour.

80 km/h. Article 41 applies that maximum to the normal-direction lane when only one remains adjacent to the lane opened in the opposite direction. Use at least dipped beam by day and night and do not enter the opposite-direction lane. If more than one lane remained for the normal direction, ordinary limits would apply: 80 km/h cannot be inferred without knowing how many remain.
