Up to 15% of the vehicle’s length; for a divisible load the limit would be 10%. A 20% projection is not permitted under this rule. Secure the load without hiding lights or the number plate, and protect and mark the projecting end with the appropriate V-20 panel. This rear-projection allowance does not permit sideways projection from that passenger car. Additional visibility-dependent marking requirements and other applicable restrictions still apply.
