BDifficulty 2/5

On a road through a built-up area, how may you signal a lateral movement?

Correct answer

With your arm or the indicators.

Use the relevant direction indicator or the prescribed arm signal, visible to others. An arm extended horizontally with the palm down indicates the side the hand points towards; an arm bent upwards with the palm extended indicates the opposite side. For example, from the left side of a passenger car, the left arm bent upwards indicates movement to the right. Signal in advance and end the signal when the new path is adopted.
