With the engine switched off and off the road.
Carry out the operation off the road and, when leaving the driving position, switch off the engine and secure the vehicle. Article 16 exceptionally allows loading on the road when unavoidable, without danger or serious obstruction and subject to the applicable rules. In built-up areas, municipal conditions also apply.
