Correct answer
when travelling on any type of road.
On any road covered by traffic legislation, under article 104.a: not only outside built-up areas or in bad weather. This question concerns the general daytime rule. At night use the lighting appropriate to the road and visibility; article 100 provides for main beam in certain circumstances and article 102 requires switching to dipped beam when dazzling is possible. It is incorrect to state that exclusively dipped beam must be used at every hour and in every situation.
