Entry is usually through an acceleration lane. At the start of the lane, check that joining is safe and give way to traffic on the main carriageway, stopping there if necessary. Then adapt speed to join safely at the end of the lane and signal the manoeuvre. Do not wait until the end to observe or force your way into traffic.
