BDifficulty 2/5

Where are the vehicle’s main-beam headlamps located?

Correct answer

At the front

At the front, to illuminate far ahead. Use is governed by Articles 100, 102 and 106: outside built-up areas at night on insufficiently lit roads above 40 km/h main beam is required unless dipped beam must be used, particularly to avoid dazzle. Main beam is not generically prohibited by any dust cloud, rain or snow, although reflections may make dipped beam or fog lamps preferable. Front lamps do not replace rear lamps.
