Use the horn intermittently and switch on hazard lights. Article 70 also provides for a handkerchief or similar means to warn of the situation. This does not make the vehicle a priority vehicle or permit disregarding lights or rules: obey traffic rules, especially at junctions. Officers may require justification of the emergency.
