Carry excessive load.
Carrying excessive load tends to increase required energy and fuel use, as well as impair stability. Never exceed authorised masses. A fixed percentage per 100 kg from general car advice cannot automatically be applied to a moped: the effect depends on the vehicle, route and riding. Keep tyres at the manufacturer’s specified pressure, without overinflating them to save fuel.
