Yes. It must occupy part or all of the adjacent or opposing lane, keeping at least 1.5 metres of lateral clearance without endangering or hindering oncoming users, including on the shoulder. Outside built-up areas, speed must be at least 20 km/h below the road limit before and throughout the manoeuvre. With more than one lane in each direction, a complete lane change would be mandatory.
