Every two years. Category L motorcycles, except those under special regimes, are exempt up to four years and then inspected biennially. Validity runs from the successful inspection; if it takes place within the 30 calendar days before the previous inspection expires, the two years are added to that expiry date. Driving-school motorcycles have a different frequency.
