At the left edge of the carriageway.
As close as possible to the left edge, positioning in advance, signalling and checking the turn can be made safely. If the road layout or signs specify another position, follow that arrangement. Do not confuse this rule with approaching the centre line on a two-way carriageway without a specific arrangement.
