BDifficulty 2/5

As a general rule, with the relevant devices working, how must a driver signal a manoeuvre involving lateral movement?

Correct answer

With light signals.

With the appropriate light signal, in sufficient time and until the new trajectory has been adopted. An arm signal may be used under article 109, but it is not a light signal. Signalling only communicates intent: it does not give priority or replace checking traffic.
