Correct answer
is prohibited, as a general rule.
As a general rule overtaking is prohibited at signed pedestrian crossings and nearby, under Article 87(1)(b) in force since 1 October 2026. It no longer contains the former exception allowing any vehicle to be overtaken merely at very low speed. Article 88 exceptional cases have their own safety conditions and specified users or vehicles; they are not general permission to overtake any car slowly. Always respect pedestrian priority.
