All vehicle drivers who arrive at a level crossing and find it closed, or find the barrier or half-barrier moving, must stop one behind another in the appropriate lane so that, once the barrier has opened, they can continue along their usual route. It is not necessary to warn other road users that the barrier is closed using the vehicle's hazard warning lights.
