Correct answer
On roads within built-up areas.
Within a built-up area. Night driving there uses dipped beam rather than sustained main beam. Outside built-up areas, main beam is not prohibited simply because the road is conventional, a motorway or a dual carriageway: use it in Article 100’s circumstances, except when dipped beam is required, especially to avoid dazzling. Article 109.3 permits very short warning flashes even in built-up areas without dazzling; those differ from continuous lighting.
