Correct answer
An M1 car with up to eight passenger seats plus the driver.
An M1 passenger car, with up to eight passenger seats in addition to the driver’s seat. Annex VII.2 requires 1.6 mm for categories M1, N1, O1 and O2. For M2, M3, N2, N3, O3 and O4 the current minimum is 1.0 mm: do not assign them the 1.6 mm minimum. There is a limited exception for certain historic vehicles, excluded here. Tyres must also remain in good condition; the legal minimum does not guarantee adequate grip in every circumstance.
