After a vehicle modification subject to Royal Decree 866/2010, the keeper or an authorised person must present it at an ITV station with the required documentation within a maximum of fifteen days. A workshop may perform work and issue relevant documentation, but cannot replace the regulatory modification inspection. Not every accessory or repair constitutes a regulated modification: check classification in the modification manual. The deadline does not authorise travel contrary to technical or safety conditions.
