The use of the horn by a moped rider must always be exceptional and limited to specific cases. It is permitted to use it to warn the driver of another vehicle of our intention to overtake it on roads outside built-up areas. On roads within built-up areas, its use is completely prohibited, even to warn of an overtaking manoeuvre.
