Periodically check brake-fluid level according to the manual, together with checks of the circuit and wearing components. Abnormal level or loss requires inspection; simply topping up does not fix a possible leak. Keep lubricant off friction surfaces and do not replace inspection with a dangerous braking test. Not all braking systems use the same hydraulic circuit or parking-brake adjustment.
