When visibility is substantially reduced, position lights alone are insufficient: use lighting under Article 106, which may be front fog lights, dipped beam or main beam without dazzling others. Main beam can worsen visibility by reflecting off fog. Dense fog requires the rear fog light; switch it off when the especially adverse conditions no longer exist.
