C1Difficulty 1/5

A special vehicle is not a motor cultivator, does not tow a trailer, has brake signalling and does not meet the conditions for the 70 km/h limit. On a paved road outside a built-up area, with no lower specific restriction, what is its general maximum speed?

Correct answer

40 kilometres per hour

40 km/h under Article 48.1.c. Special vehicles without brake signalling, towing a trailer or consisting of motor cultivators have a 25 km/h limit. For the remaining vehicles, the 40 km/h limit may be 70 km/h if their characteristics allow more than 60 km/h on level ground and they meet regulatory conditions. Unpaved roads have a 30 km/h limit, and lower restrictions or special-transport requirements must be observed where applicable.
