At least 1.5 metres. Under article 85.4 use part or all of the adjoining or opposing lane, safely and without endangering or obstructing oncoming users. Outside built-up areas reduce speed by at least 20 km/h relative to the road limit during the manoeuvre. With more than one lane in each direction a complete lane change is required.
