BDifficulty 2/5

On a conventional road outside a built-up area, without physical separation and limited to 90 km/h for an ordinary car, may it exceed that limit to overtake?

Correct answer

No, overtaking does not authorise exceeding the applicable limit.

No. Overtaking does not permit exceeding the applicable limit. The former 20 km/h allowance for cars and motorcycles was removed effective 21 March 2022. Also observe lower limits and adapt speed to conditions. A slower vehicle ahead does not reinstate that allowance.
