Correct answer
On any type of road, whenever necessary.
Whenever we are travelling at more than 40 kilometres per hour, between sunset and sunrise, outside built-up areas, on inadequately lit roads, or at any time of day in tunnels, underpasses and sections of road affected by the Tunnel sign that are inadequately lit, we must switch on the main-beam headlights. They must never be used on urban roads or through built-up areas.
