The engine-driven magneto generates it, so this ignition system does not depend on the battery to produce the spark. This does not mean every motorcycle with a magneto has no battery: other equipment may use one. If a battery is fitted, maintain it according to its type and the manufacturer’s instructions; adding acid or routinely replacing electrolyte is not a normal maintenance operation.
