The airbag complements the seat belt and does not replace it. Wear the belt correctly and maintain the posture and clearance specified by the manufacturer, without placing feet on the dashboard or objects over deployment areas. If a rear-facing child restraint is installed in a front seat with a frontal airbag, that airbag must be deactivated: this is not merely a recommendation. Also follow the rules on child seating position and the restraint instructions.
