A motorcycle need not carry a spare set of bulbs. This does not authorise riding with defective mandatory lighting: repair the fault and keep required lights working. A spare wheel is not required either, but that does not mean no mandatory equipment exists: Annex XII of the General Vehicle Regulations currently requires a high-visibility reflective vest.
