The dipstick checks the engine oil level, not its pressure or temperature. Take the reading under the manufacturer’s specified conditions: level ground, vehicle position, engine temperature and waiting time after stopping it. Not every engine is checked completely cold; some require warming first. An adequate level does not rule out an oil-pressure problem.
